14.3 A Controller Will Not Connect

· Check the Network Ip in the menu is on the same network as the controller.

· Check the controller's IP Address and Port.

· Check the controller and its tags are turned on (Is Active).

· Raise the Connection Timeout. For a database, a first connection can take more than 5 seconds.

· For a database, make sure the connection string gives the server as an IP address, not a computer name.
