7.2 Adding a Tag

Tap Add Tag and complete the following fields:
Field
Description
Tag Name
The tag's name or address in the controller (see Settings for Each Controller Type). Required, up to 200 characters.
Description
What the tag is, for example "Tank level". Required, up to 200 characters. This is also the name shown in trend legends.
Data Type
The kind of value the tag holds. Choose from the list for the controller type (see Data Types). Required.
Min
The bottom of the gauge and trend scale. Shown for numeric data types only.
Max
The top of the gauge and trend scale. Shown for numeric data types only.
Units
The units of the value, for example %, kg or °C. Required, up to 40 characters.
Tag Name Column (optional)
Database only (see Database Tags).
Tag Value Column (optional)
Database only (see Database Tags).
Is Active
When on, the tag can be monitored. When off, it is left out of monitoring.
The Save button stays red until the form is complete and correct, and turns green when it is ready. Tap Save to add the tag. If anything is missing, the message Please fill in the required fields, you may need to scroll down appears.
Give every tag on a controller its own name. Two tags with the same name are both saved, but only one of them is read.
