1. Download and Install The PlcData.LoggingService and the PlcData.LicensingApp (The bundle does both).
2. Locate the Excel and XML Logging and Reporting files normally "C:\Program Files (x86) \ACL\Apps\PlcData.LoggingService\Files"
3. Configure the Excel and/or XML files.
4. Activate the license (Internet connection required) using the newly installed License App icon on your desktop or plug in a license dongle should you have purchased one. The service can run without a license but is limited to logging 10 tags only.
5. Start the PlcData.LoggingService. It can be found by navigating to the Services (Local Services)
The windows service runs under the 'local system' account. This account needs to be setup as 'sysadmin' and 'Serveradmin'. in the used Sql server security hence SQL server is required, the Express edition is adequate.
6. Observe a database PlcDataDb has been created and logging has started in the data logging table.
