The licensing app enables machine licensing check and the licence manager enables activation and deactivation of the license. This enables moving the application from one machine to another should the need arise.
A license USB dongle is also available for added security.
PlcData is free when the required number of tag is 10 or less.
1. Double click on the license manager app orange icon on your desktop and after few moments a windows appear
2. Enter or paste your license , the system will automatically validate the license . Clicking the validate button will also manually validate your license. The license product is also displayed.
3. Click the "Activate" ; an internet connection is needed. The following windows appears. Activation will not occur ; the license manager needs to start in ADMIN mode
4. Start the license manager in ADMIN mode, Enter or paste in your activation key and Click the "Activate again ; an internet connection is needed. The following windows appears indicating the activation status.
5. Now click on the licensing app to check the licence has indeed been registered. The following windows appears.
6. Click 'x' to close the windows.
7. Go to the XML or Excel Logging and Reporting sections for details on how to configure logging and reporting. Then Start the service,
The windows service runs under the 'local system' account. This account needs to be setup as 'sysadmin' in the used Sql server security
The database will normally be created and logging will normally commence as configured.
